Description

Helen is a loose, straight silhouette dress with a detachable buckle belt. It includes bust darts at the front and a yoke with a pleat at the back. Featuring a turn-down collar with a separate stand, it comes with a decorative collar tie attached underneath. There’s a front neckline slit to the bust level, semi-fitted sleeves with cuffs, and high hemline slits at the side seams. Top stitching accents adorn the collar, cuffs, belt, collar tie, and hem. The dress falls below the knee.

Recommended Fabric

Wool, gabardine, denim, fine wale or regular corduroy, faux leather & suede.

Choose dress-weight and suiting fabrics with the following properties:

– Medium weight, structured, non-stretch or with very little stretch, opaque;

– The fiber content can include natural fibres (wool, silk, cotton, linen), artificial fibres (viscose), blends (wool + silk, wool + polyester, cotton + viscose, etc.), and synthetics (polyester, polyester + elastane);

ATTENTION: Stretchy knit materials (jersey fabrics) and lightweight sheer fabrics (chiffon, organza, stretch lace) are NOT recommended.

• Knit or woven lightweight interfacing, 140 cm (55″) wide, 1.2 – 1.6 m (1 1/4 – 1 3/4 yd)

• Tape (satin, grosgrain or nylon), 5mm (just under 1/4″) wide, 20cm (7 7/8″) (slit reinforcement for denim dress)

• 1x 5cm (2″) wide buckle

• Matching thread

• Matching top-stitching thread

• Double-sided basting tape, 1cm (3/8″) wide (for faux leather dress)
