The most common colours for it are white and blue; however, it is produced in a wide variety of colours, usually alternating coloured pink, denim blue, stripes, pinstrpes and puckered white stripes slightly wider than pinstripes. Seersucker first became popular in Britain’s warm weather colonies like British India One of the best things about the preppy puckered fabric? It doesn’t need to be ironed (so it’s great for traveling). Very versatile fabric which can be used for shorts, suits, pants, shirts, skirts, and dresses in a variety of colours. For some this would also be the ideal fabric for a pillow case & bed sheets. OEKO-Tex® Standard 100 Product.
