Description

The Meriam Trousers combine style and comfort in one sleek package. Traditional trousers can feel restrictive when your waistline expands while sitting, but the innovative flex waistband solves this issue.

The Meriam Trouser pattern boasts classic trouser features such as a zip fly with a hidden closure, front slash pockets, straight legs, and optional back welt pockets. What sets them apart is the flex waistband, which gently expands by 3-4″ when you sit down for ultimate comfort. Plus, the option of a pre-done full bum adjustment piece ensures a perfect fit every time.

Recommended fabric

Light to mid-weight woven fabric such as wool suiting, linen, poly/cotton, or poly/wool blend.

Lining: Non-stretch cotton.

Universal needle, hand sewing needle, thread, 9” (23 cm) pants zipper, clear elastic, 10” (25 cm) of 1” (2.5 cm) wide woven (no-roll) elastic (View A), one ½” (12 mm) skirt/pant hook & eye closure, 3 (View A) or 1 (View B) ½” (12 mm) buttons, 3.5 yards (3.2 m) of 1½” (3.8 cm) wide unfolded bias tape (View A).
